BeritaGresik.com – Ketua Fraksi Partai Persatuan Pembangunan (PPP) MPR RI Arwani Thomafi mengatakan, partai politik memainkan peran penting menjaga kerukunan menjelang pelaksanaan Pemilu 2024.
Untuk itu, ia meminta kader dan pengurus PPP di semua tingkatan, khususnya PPP di Pasuruan, agar tetap menjaga kerukunan dan ketertiban di tengah Masyarakat, sehingga pelaksanaan pemilu berlangsung damai.
“Kader PPP harus memainkan peran penting memastikan pemilu damai, karena semua partai politik sejatinya berpegang pada Pancasila dan nilai-nilai luhur kebangsaan,” kata Arwani dalam sosialisasi Empat Pilar MPR RI di Pasurusan, Jawa Timur, Selasa (19/9/2023).
Dia menjelaskan, tahun politik rentan dimanfaatkan pihak-pihak yang tidak bertanggungjawab untuk memecah belah masyarakat, dengan cara membenturkan antara kelompok masyarakat atau pemeluk agama yang satu dengan kelompok yang lainnya.
“Sebagai kader partai, kita harus terdepan dalam menjaga kerukunan antar pemeluk agama, menghargai keberagaman dan bersikap toleran terhadap pemeluk agama lain, sehingga NKRI tetap kokoh,” tuturnya. []
