“Karena itu, kita sebagai kader partai Islam harus terdepan dalam menjaga kerukunan antar pemeluk agama, menghargai keberagaman dan bersikap toleran terhadap pemeluk agama lain, sehingga Negara Kesatuan Republik Indonesia (NKRI) tetap berdiri kokoh,” ujarnya.
Anggota Komisi I DPR RI itu juga menekankan agar masyarakat maupun kader PPP hendaknya berhati-hati dan bijak dalam menggunakan media sosial. Kendati berbeda pilihan, namun harus tetap menjaga kerukunan dan kekeluargaan.
“Jangan mudah terprovokasi dan terbawa isu hasutan yang tidak beranggungjawab. Jangan karena beda pilihan politik, antara tetangga atau satu keluarga menjadi tidak rukun,” pungkasnya. [as]
