BeritaGresik.com – Ketua Fraksi Partai Persatuan Pembangunan (PPP) MPR RI Arwani Thomafi mengatakan bahwa Bhineka Tunggal Ika merupakan unsur pengikat yang dapat melahirkan semangat persatuan dan kesatuan bangsa, sehingga menjadi pilar kokohnya Negara Kesatuan Republik Indonesia (NKRI).
Pernyataan itu disampaikan Arwani dalam kegiatan sosialisasi Empat Pilar MPR bersama Komunitas Insan Film Randublatung (Infira) di Kabupaten Blora, Jawa Tengah, Jumat (15/12/2023).
“Bangsa Indonesia yang memiliki beragam adat, budaya, suku, agama, dan ras dapat terikat menjadi kesatuan, yang didasari semboyan Bhinneka Tunggal Ika. Rasa kesatuan dari semboyan tersebut dapat memperkokoh bangsa,” ujarnya.
Menurutnya, memahami Bhinneka Tunggal Ika berarti lebih mendahulukan kepentingan umum dari pada kepentingan diri sendiri. Ia berharap Komunitas Infira dapat menjadi contoh dalam penerapan semboyan tersebut.
“Bhinneka Tunggal Ika harus dipahami sebagai upaya untuk memupuk jiwa nasionalisme, serta menumbuhkan dan memperkokoh kesatuan bangsa,” tuturnya.
Arwani juga mengajak semua elemen masyarakat agar menjaga rasa persatuan, supaya dapat menjaga keamanan dan kedamaian di lingkungan masyarakat, terutama di Kabupaten Blora. [as]
