BeritaGresik.com – Ketua Fraksi PPP MPR RI Arwani Thomafi mengatakan, bahwa pemuda memiliki peran yang sangat penting dalam menjaga persatuan dan kesatuan bangsa, serta tegaknya Negara Kesatuan Republik Indonesia (NKRI) di masa depan.
“Pemuda, baik itu santri atau pelajar adalah generasi muda calon pemimpin bangsa. Nasib bangsa ini kedepan ada di tengan para generasi muda saat ini,” kata Arwani dalam kegiatan Sosialiasasi Empat Pilar MPR RI bersama Angkatan Muda Ka’bah (AMK) Rembang, Kamis (22/12/2022).
Menurutnya, Indonesia akan terus berdiri tegak selama Pancasila tetap menjadi pedoman hidup bagi masyarakat dan bangsa Indonesia, meski dihadapkan pada banyak tantangan dan rongrongan yang datang dari dalam maupun luar.
“Pancasila adalah ideologi yang mampu menyatukan beragam suku dan bangsa yang ada di NKRI ini. Sehingga keberadaannya sangat penting dalam menjaga keutuhan bangsa kita,” jelasnya.
Karena itu, anggota Komisi I DPR itu mendorong santri dan pelajar menjadi benteng penjaga Pancasila di era globalisasi sekarang ini. Apalagi, tidak sedikit kelompok-kelompok yang ingin mengganti ideologi Pancasila.
“Ulama dan kiai termasuk penggagas Pancasila. Karenaya, sudah semestinya jika santri di Tanah Air menjadi benteng penjaga bagi Pancasila, baik saat ini maupun di masa depan,” pungkasnya. [as]
