BeritaGresik.com – Bupati Gresik Fandi Akhmad Yani bersama Dandim 0817 Gresik Letkol Inf Ahmad Saleh Rahanar mengunjungi lokasi terdampak banjir di Desa Jono, Kecamatan Cerme, Gresik, Jum’at (24/2/2023).
Dalam kesempatan itu, Bupati yang akrab disapa Gus Yani mengatakan jika dirinya bersama Pemerintah Kabupaten Gresik sudah mengupayakan penanggulangan Kali Lamong sejak awal menjabat Bupati Gresik.
“Kami sudah dua tahun ini sudah berupaya, dan tidak menunggu karena keterbatasan kewenangan. Karena biasanya terkait sungai banyak kewenangan yang terbatasi, ini kewenangan BBWS atau ini kewenangan pemerintah pusat. Kami berupaya apa yang bisa kita lakukan dalam pengendalian banjir ini akan kita lakukan,” terang Gus Yani.
Lebih lanjut, Gus Yani menjelaskan, sejak awal menjabat dirinya langsung memohon izin kepada balai besar. Itu dilakukan dengan cara mengeluarkan rekomendasi teknis dalam membantu balai besar dalam upaya normalisasi Kali Lamong.
“Selama ini kami sudah mengupayakan berbagai pembebasan lahan guna pembangunan tanggul dan normalisasi yang mencapai luasannya sudah lebih dari 50%. Kedepan, solusi kami tidak akan berhenti di normalisasi saja. Kami akan mendesain kolam-kolam retensi dengan luasan kewenangan daerah sehingga bisa menampung air yang meluap,” ujarnya.
